Rukku Nahar, from Kempston, has found her big break in the acting world with a regular role on the new series of Wolfblood on CBBC.
Rukku began acting at 14 while at Hastingsbury Upper School with the support from her father Sushil, but it has taken off to heights she never imagined.
She said: "Acting is not something I always wanted to do, but through getting involved in drama at school and being a show singer, my dad and I thought it might be something fun to try."
And this has led her on to a number of big opportunities, including being the face of Sunsilk in television adverts airing next year, which she filmed in Argentina, to her latest triumph with Wolfblood, which she is filming in Newcastle.
Rukku said: "I just cannot believe how lucky I have been so far in my career to get on such a show that airs all over the world and I know this is just the beginning for me.
"It has taken a lot of work, money, travel, dedication and support from my family but I could not imagine doing anything else."
